The Eastern Iowa Home School Youth Entrepreneur Fair started in 2017 when Sally Hofmann wanted to give kids with an interest in running a business a forum to try it out.
The existence of the YEF depends on volunteers, from leadership to setup and teardown, as well as helping get the word out to the local community about the event.

While the YEF is a fun event for kids to try their hand at running a business, it's also an opportunity and space for those with an entrepreneurial spirit to expand their horizons.

Most recently, the YEF was spearheaded by Julie Scott, an MHSAP homeschooling mom and supervising teacher.
Graphics, marketing materials, and myriad other facets were designed and have been updated by Maree Bean, a former student entrepreneur.
